About Cortex Trail Point
Dedicated to the practical craft of hardware preservation, bench-level electronics troubleshooting, and thermal maintenance for cryptocurrency computing infrastructure.
Established in 2021 in Gimpo-si
Cortex Trail Point is an officially registered business entity founded in 2021 under the leadership of lead electronics engineer Jung Hyunwoo. Located in Daegot-myeon, Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, our facility was established in response to a critical gap in the mining hardware industry: the lack of systematic, component-level diagnostic education.
During the rapid growth of high-density computing in East Asia, mining farm operators frequently discarded malfunctioning hashboards or paid exorbitant overseas shipping fees for minor capacitor shorts or single failed ASIC chips. We established our physical laboratory to teach facility managers and repair technicians how to test, diagnose, and rebuild hardware locally with precision tools.
How We Teach Hardware Maintenance
Root-Cause Diagnosis
We reject trial-and-error parts swapping. Every lesson trains technicians to read schematics, verify logic voltages with multimeters, and isolate the exact defective component before touching a soldering iron.
Electrical & Fire Safety
Operating 3000W+ electrical equipment requires rigorous safety protocols. We emphasize safe capacitor discharge, thermal imaging for high-resistance joints, and proper wire gauge selection to prevent fire hazards.
Hardware Longevity
Mining silicon does not need to become e-waste when a single chip fails. Through proper thermal paste renewal, ultrasonic cleaning, and solder rework, hardware lifespans can be extended by years.
Our Engineering Instructors
Jung Hyunwoo
Founder & Principal Diagnostic InstructorWith over 12 years of experience in switch-mode power electronics and industrial automation circuitry in Gyeonggi-do, Hyunwoo leads our flagship ASIC diagnostic clinic and PSU overhaul sessions.
